Photoshop cs2 problem......?

ok i got photoshop, but it runs really glitchy on my comp, like if i want to blur sumting it will take like a minute to do and if i want to scribble or color something with a brush it lags alot and than freezes

my comp is really good too

i have 1 gig ram and a core 2 duo e6400 processor

anyone no wat the problem could be?

Maybe you are running too much things at the same time... photoshop is one of those programs that needs to be worked alone, otherwise as you say it gets all glitchy and slow... try that.

If not, maybe you need to scan for viruses

I had the same problem. I reinstalled it, but it didn't work. Only after i got 2gb RAM did it work fine. I would suggest trying to reinstall it, but if it won't work, get more RAM. It really eats up your resources!
Maybe there are components missing. Try to uninstall it and reinstall the software. That is of course if the software is available to you.
if you want to run graphic intensive software like photo cs2, then you need amd processors, not intel.

I have a laptop with 2 gigs of ram, amd turion 64 bit, and i run images that run in the hundreds of megs without a glitch. it ran fine back when i had 512 megs of ram too. ram speeds up tremendous projects, but wont make any difference in tuff even 5 times your resolution.

when i do photos, i scan them at insane resolutions. i also run virtual computers, and i can run photoshop at the same time.

you could try to update your graphics driver, and clean your registry. but if ou want to get serious with graphics, go amd.

intel make good servers, not intensive laber work horses.
maybe ur installed a lot of software on your PC, try to defrag your PC, and try to remove the unnecessary software in you pC,

hope it will help]
